Touchscreen Customization
Instructions and intake forms
Instructions and intake forms
Before you deploy a GrandCare touchscreen it is important that it be customized to suit the needs and interests of the person using it, and also for the place where it will be used. If there is more than one touchscreen in the home, as there often is, even for people who live by themselves, two different customization forms should be filled out.
Please read these instructions carefully. It will help us deliver the best GrandCare experience for your clients.
The first form is for the residents and their primary, personal touchscreens. This is the touchscreen that will display their ADL, medication, and calendar reminders for them. The form will ask you about to-do reminders, med reminders, personal interests and more.
It is not uncommon for touchscreen users to map out their entire daily routine using to-do reminders. Brush Teeth. Take Shower. Get Dressed. Eat Breakfast. Anything that they currently rely on a person to remind them about, a to-do can automate.
Please be as detailed as possible with the personal interests. Knowing that someone likes music is not as helpful as knowing they like Bruno Mars. This information will be used to provide pictures and videos that the touchscreen user will like. This form must be filled out for each person residing in the home who will be using GrandCare.
The second form is for the home itself and any public area touchscreens it may have, such as in the kitchen or living room. Even if there are no public area touchscreens, this form is still required. We will need to know the name of the home (called a Group), and the room where the touchscreen(s) will be installed. We will also need to know which touchscreen will be used as a hub for any peripheral devices such as motion sensors or cameras. (Health devices are paired with resident touchscreens.)
