Getting Started
How do you get started using GrandCare as a family member or other caregiver? You first have to log in. That means activating your account. This video explains how.
Calendars and To-Dos
The GrandCare touchscreen has a calendar and will remind your loved one when things are happening like doctor appointments or family visits. You can also make To-Do items, to help guide someone through their day. This way they can check off to-do items as they come up.
Slideshow
When you’re not touching the GrandCare touchscreen, it displays a slideshow of photos and information and other items of interest. What are these items? You get to pick. Maybe your loved one doesn’t like news headlines. Maybe they do like trivia. This video explains how to choose the slideshow elements that are right for you.
Photos
It’s easy to share photos with the GrandCare touchscreen. You can upload them from your computer or from our mobile app. No matter how you do it, they’re going to make that GrandCare slideshow extra special.
Video Calls
You can make video calls to and from the GrandCare touchscreen. You can use your Chrome web browser on your computer, or use the free iOS app on your iPhone.
Messages
Sometimes all you want is to shoot some text onto the GrandCare touchscreen. With messages you can. They can be sent from your computer’s web browser or the iOS app. There’s even emergency messaging.
Letters
Letters is a feature that allows you to send to the touchscreen and it allows for the touchscreen user to reply to you. It’s just like email, only no spam. Try it! It’s fun!
Medication Reminders
GrandCare can help you remember to take your medication at the right time. You just have to tell GrandCare what your loved one is taking and when. This video shows how to do it.
Add Users
Do you have other family members who would like to participate in GrandCare? They will be able to video call, send letters, and more. This is how you add them.
Activity Rules
Rules in GrandCare are simple IF/THEN statements. IF the specified conditions are met, THEN GrandCare alerts you by text, email, or phone call. This video walks you through how to create your own customized rules.
